About us
Restoring Hope & Opportunity
“Behind every educated child is a story of courage, belief, and opportunity. At Gunjan Foundation, we’ve spent 20 years creating those stories — and changing futures.”
In 2004, inspired by our founder’s Ms. Sushma Singhvi vision to create a platform where underprivileged children could cultivate lives of dignity and productivity, Gunjan Foundation was born. At its core was a powerful belief — that every child, regardless of background, deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Over the past two decades, that belief has evolved into a movement of hope, transforming the lives of thousands through education and empowerment.
What began as a modest initiative with 25-30 students has today touched the lives of over 2,300 students through its comprehensive education. Guided by the vision of our founder, Ms. Sushma Singhvi, the Foundation has worked closely with children and their families, helping them break the cycle of poverty through the transformative power of education.
GUNJAN FOUNDATION, a non-governmental social organization, is dedicated to uplifting underprivileged sections of society.

Our Focus: Those Most in Need
Our primary objective is to support children whose parents have limited formal education and are engaged in labor-intensive jobs such as Rickshaw pullers, Domestic workers, Tea stall owners, Security guards, Plumbers, painters, carpenters, and drivers etc.
We also support children of parents who are unemployed, differently-abled, or belong to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), as defined by government norms. Special consideration is given to those who lost a parent due to COVID-19 or other unforeseen circumstances.
Applications for support are accepted from across India, making our programs flexible and inclusive, and allowing us to respond to the diverse and evolving needs of underprivileged communities nationwide.
Empowering Women: A Key Priority
One of Gunjan Foundation’s guiding principles is the empowerment of women. By providing them with access to education, we foster independence and self-reliance, enabling them to become confident contributors to their families and society.

Empowering Through Education
At Gunjan Foundation, we believe that education is the greatest equalizer. Through our two key scholarship programs — “Gunjan-Sashakt” (for school students) and “Gunjan-Utkarsh” (for higher education) — we ensure that underprivileged children have continuous access to quality education from Nursery through college.
By removing financial barriers, we foster a stress-free learning environment that allows students to focus on their academic goals without constraints. We aim not only to support their education but also to instill values of independence, confidence, and responsible citizenship.
This approach reflects our core philosophy: that investing in education today transforms the future — not just for individuals, but for entire communities.
We envision a future where quality education is accessible to all. Since 2004, Gunjan Foundation has supported students from underserved communities, empowering them through learning and opportunity.
In the past six years, we’ve extended financial support to students pursuing higher and professional education. With new chapters in Jaipur (2021) and Ahmedabad (2022), we’re reaching more lives offering quality education.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to expanding our impact, opening new chapters, and building a more educated and equitable society.
What we Do
Our Scholarship Program
Upholding the commitment to our mission, Gunjan Foundation has instituted 2 robust scholarship programs, Gunjan-Sashakt (School) and Gunjan-Utkarsh (Higher Education) aimed at bolstering economically disadvantaged students. Spanning from primary to tertiary education and vocational training, our programs extend financial support to deserving individuals, ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities.

“Gunjan-Sashakt” – Nurturing School Aspirations
Through “Gunjan–Sashakt” we support children during their school years, ensuring they have access to essentials like books, uniforms, school fees etc. This foundational support builds academic confidence and keeps them connected to the learning process. We aim to provide 300 school students in the financial year 2025-26.
Gunjan’s Delhi Chapter, is currently disbursing scholarships to 270 students enrolled in private schools ranging from Class I to XII. These scholarships serve as a lifeline for recipients, alleviating financial burdens that would otherwise hinder their educational pursuits.
Of the 270 students, 252 students are enrolled in Shishu Kalyan Sr. Sec. School, with the remainder distributed across various educational institutions in Delhi, NCR & PAN india.
“Gunjan-Utkarsh” – Enabling Higher Education
Our “Gunjan-Utkarsh” program supports students pursuing college degrees — such as B.Tech, B.Com, B.Sc., and MBA — enabling them to complete their education without the burden of financial stress. Many of our scholars have gone on to secure placements in renowned companies like Wipro Ltd., Genpact and other leading organizations, proving that with opportunity, dreams do come true.
Recognizing the pivotal role of higher education in fostering individual success and societal progress, we are committed to levelling the playing field by empowering talented yet financially challenged students. By affording them the opportunity to access quality higher education, we strive to promote equity and meritocracy in our society.
