Gunjan Foundation’s mission is to educate the less fortunate and to provide quality education to the less fortunate. For the past 18 years, Gunjan Foundation had been running a school in Nathupur for children of various slums in the surrounding areas of the school.

Currently, Gunjan Foundation is providing scholarships to around 250 school students and 30-35 students for advanced courses. Our first batch has passed out from 12th grade and has got admission in different colleges. We are proud to announce that one student has been admitted to the prestigious Ramjas College, Delhi University. Another student is now studying at Deen Dayal Singh College, an equally prestigious institute. We are indeed proud of the achievements of both these students. In 2023-24 we will be having 300 students (school & Advanced education).

We also lay special emphasis on free education and social emancipation for the girl child in consonance with the government’s ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ initiative.

Education gives our girls the confidence to break free of traditional roles, to pursue their dreams and grow up to be equal citizens of this country.

We continue to believe strongly that education is the key to building a strong nation. Literacy does more for society in one generation than anything else. It does away with age-old rudimentary customs, ill beliefs, superstitions, etc. As a result, since we made our humble beginnings in 2004, we have been primarily focusing on fulfilling the educational needs and aspirations of the students.

We have now widened our horizons further. For the past five years, we have been financially supporting marginalized students who are pursuing advanced and professional courses.

In the year 2021, Gunjan opened a new chapter in Jaipur with the sole intent of disbursing scholarships for college education. In the Jaipur chapter, we are sponsoring 30 girls for higher education in different fields like Engineering (IIT), MBBS, B.Pharma, BCA, computer classes, English-spoken classes, etc.

Gunjan has also started a chapter in Ahmedabad in the year 2022 to support needy children in their pursuit of school and college education. Work has already started with full passion and commitment. Grocery kits have been distributed to the needy. They are also sponsoring the education of school and advanced education.

Gunjan is now looking at expanding its horizons and opening more such chapters in other cities too.

What we Do

Our Scholarship Program

There comes a time in the life of an organization when it wants to expand its horizons, pivot and refocus on core priorities and use efforts and resources for optimal results. In 2022, we have shifted all the students from our school Swapna Sarthak to Shishu Kalyan High School and supporting their education thereby providing scholarships.

The encouragement, mentoring, and scholarships will be ours and the partner schools will be Shishu Kalyan Sr. Sec. School.

Currently, Gunjan Foundation is providing scholarships to about 250 school students because, without this monetary support, they would not be able to afford higher studies and would be under the
circumstances drop out!

Objectives

Fulfillment of Objectives

Our objective is to provide scholarships to students in need, particularly those who cannot afford higher education due to economic constraints.

We are currently sponsoring Abhay Sharma, who is pursuing a Hotel Management course at T. John College in Bangalore. Additionally, we are supporting Udayveer, who is pursuing LLB (Honors) at Amity University, along with several other students from diverse fields.

We believe that providing access to higher education is essential in empowering individuals and enabling them to contribute positively to society. By investing in the education of talented students who lack financial resources, we are helping to level the playing field and create equal opportunities for all.

Project Design and Implementation

To provide scholarships for advanced courses like law, civil services, CA, MBA, B.Ed, Engineering, etc. to the neediest students who have the desire to achieve but can’t afford the expenses. We want to fulfill the dreams of such children.

Candidates apply for our scholarship program through applications or emails. Then we audit all the documents of the candidates like 10th, and 12th mark sheets, income certificates of parents, Aadhaar cards of students & parents, etc.
